Having product venting for your hood is crucial in order to have both a range hood and duct run that work for you rather than against you.

Here are the best steps to achieve the perfect duct system:

1. Follow the manufacturer's guidelines for duct size based on the model you selected
2. Never reduce, alter, or change the ducting or duct size in any way
3. Do NOT use a lot of duct elbows or turns
4. If using duct turns, make sure to keep this to a maximum of 2 or 3
5. Ensure the outside vent cap is the same size as your duct size and never reduced
