If you are experiencing any trouble with your new Sunset blower, or it is not functioning as expected, please review the troubleshooting steps below.
IMPORTANT: Wiring Notice!
All electrical wiring for the Sunset model must be performed by a certified electrician to ensure a safe and correct installation.
The motor only works on one speed and the rest of the speeds don't turn on
If the motor is only working on one speed, follow the troubleshooting steps below:
- Verify that there are enough wires installed inside the wall (two 14/3 cables are required)
- Check all wiring connections inside the unit's electrical box and on the double wall switch in the wall
- Ensure that the unit is connected to a dedicated 15 amp circuit and is receiving power on all speeds
This should help resolve the issue in most cases. If the wiring connections are verified by a certified electrician and the motor continues to not function as expected, contact warranty@victoryrangehoods.com to submit a warranty claim.
There is a burning smell, smoke, sparks, or similar and the motor no longer turns on
If the motor will not turn on after a burning smell, smoke, sparks, or similar then the polarity of the blower was accidentally reversed due to an electrical wiring error during the installation. Please review the troubleshooting steps below:
- Request to purchase a replacement blower under warranty by emailing sales@victoryrangehoods.com
- Hire a certified electrician to professionally wire your range hood to the provided wall switch
This should help resolve the issue in most cases. If you strongly believe that there was no wiring error during installation, please provide the contact information of the electrician to warranty@victoryrangehoods.com and request an exception. Exceptions might be made within the first 6 months of receiving your order. All requests such as these are subject to review and approval by management.
Both the motor and the lights don't turn on at all, nothing works
If the motor and lights are both not working, it is 99.9% certain that there is a wiring issue. It is not possible for both the motor and lights to fail at the same time. Please follow these steps:
- Hire a certified electrician to review and inspect the wiring inside the range hood as well as on the provided wall switch
- Ensure that the electrician verifies that sufficient power is reaching the unit
In the extremely rare case that the wiring is correct, the unit is wired to a dedicated 15amp circuit and power is reaching the range hood, you might qualify for a warranty claim. Please submit all details along with photos to warranty@victoryrangehoods.com to file a claim.
