Yes! The CFM rating of any VICTORY range hood can be reduced by request. For example, a 900 CFM range hood can be reduced to 600, 500, or even 400 CFM if the request is made before shipping.
How can I request a CFM reduction?
To request a CFM reduction, there are two options:
- Add a Note in the cart page before check out detailing your specific request
- Reply to your Order Confirmation email immediately to request the CFM reduction
Is there a fee for this service?
No! We offer this service absolutely free.
Does adjusting the CFM at the factory affect the speed settings?
Sometimes. The CFM adjustment could affect the number of speeds the range hood has, depending on the specific CFM requirement. Please refer to the examples below:
- Reducing a 600 CFM fan to 400 CFM = All 4 speeds would remain
- Reducing a 600 CFM fan to 200 CFM = Only speed 1 and speed 2 would function
Is the CFM reduction reversible?
Yes. The CFM adjustment could be reversed at a later time. Although, this is not recommended since CFM reductions are typically performed for safety reasons.
Can I reduce the CFM of my fan if I already purchased and received the unit?
Yes. The easiest way to do this is by disconnecting 1 or 2 of the high speeds. Each unit has 3 or 4 cables with plug-in pin connectors that allow for easy disconnection.
Is it possible to reduce the CFM without making changes to the wiring?
Yes. If you reduce the duct size, it will reduce the overall CFM. We HIGHLY CAUTION against doing it this way as this will significantly increase the noise levels of the range hood.
