Below are the steps for removing the wall plate from your wall. Please be advised that in step 3, a licensed electrician or installer should perform this task to prevent any potential injury or damage to the unit. This precaution is necessary due to the presence of wires connected to the wall plate. Improper removal could lead to injury, and incorrect reattachment could result in both injury and damage.
Steps:
1: To detach the rotary knob from the shaft, utilize a 1.5mm Allen wrench as illustrated in the accompanying photograph. A small hole located on the side of the knob will provide access to a set screw within, which can be loosened to facilitate the removal of the knob..
2: The glass cover plate is equipped with magnetic properties, allowing for its removal by gently pulling on the corners of the cover to expose the screws underneath. Upon completion of this action, the appearance will resemble that depicted in step 4 in the accompanying photograph below.
3: (This task should be performed by a licensed technician.) The light dimmer and rotary switch, designated as number 3, should be positioned within the magnetic metal plate labeled as number 4. While it is possible to unscrew these components, they will be connected within the dual electrical box identified as number 5 in the accompanying photograph.
4: Once the dimmer and switch have been removed (it is not recommended to do so without a licensed technician), you may proceed to unscrew the magnetic metal plate from the wall.
5: We now proceed to step 5, during which you may remove the dual electrical box if deemed necessary.
It is once again recommended that this procedure be performed by a licensed technician to prevent any potential harm to yourself or the unit in question. Should you choose to undertake this task independently and any issues arise with the range hood, this will void any existing warranty.
