The Q2 model with 600 CFM is best for moderate/standard cooking styles. This unit provides good suction and quiet performance, with capabilities to withstand up to 60,000 BTU from has ranges.
The Q5 model also has the option of a 700 CFM blower when utilizing an 8" duct size. This allows for quieter operation and use with more powerful gas ranges, up to 70,000 BTU total. Using the Q5 model with an 8" duct allows allows for more effective ventilation and makes the range hood suitable for heavier cooking as well.
